Founding Engineer
Looking for someone who wants to build from scratch. You'll be one of the first employees, working directly with the founder to architect and build our AI-powered academic platform. This is not a corporate job. This is a bet on yourself and on this vision.
The Reality
- →You'll be employee #2 or #3
- →Little to no salary until we raise our seed round
- →Significant equity stake (we're talking meaningful ownership)
- →You'll make architectural decisions with incomplete information
- →You'll wear multiple hats: backend, frontend, infrastructure, maybe even support

What You'll Build
- →Core platform features using React, TypeScript, Node.js
- →Database schemas and APIs that scale (PostgreSQL, Supabase)
- →AI/ML integrations (working with LLM APIs, prompt engineering)
- →Whatever else needs to get built to ship and iterate fast
Who You Are
- →1-3 years of real software engineering experience (or self-taught with strong portfolio)
- →Comfortable with modern web stack: React, TypeScript, Node.js
- →You've built something end-to-end before (side project, startup, open source)
- →Comfortable with ambiguity and rapid iteration

Founding Sales/Partnerships Lead
We need someone who can hustle and close university partnerships. You'll be responsible for getting ORIA into colleges and universities through pilot programs. This is pure 0-to-1 sales. No playbook, no established brand, just you, your outreach skills, and a compelling product.
The Reality
- →You'll be building the entire sales process from scratch
- →Mostly equity until we close meaningful revenue or raise
- →Commission structure once deals start closing
- →You'll be doing cold outreach, relationship building, demos, everything
- →No marketing team, no sales ops, no BDR - just you
- →Success = pilot programs with universities, real partnerships
What You'll Do
- →Identify target universities and decision-makers (advisors, student success teams, deans)
- →Build outreach lists and execute cold email/LinkedIn campaigns
- →Run product demos and pitch pilot programs to institutions
- →Close partnership agreements and manage full sales cycle
- →Create the sales playbook as you figure out what works
- →Feed product insights back to the founder based on university needs
Who You Are
- →1-3 years of B2B sales, business development, or scrappy hustling experience
- →Comfortable with rejection and cold outreach (this is startup sales)
- →You've closed something before (deals, partnerships, sales)
- →Self-starter who doesn't need hand-holding
- →Understanding of higher education ecosystem is a plus
- →You want equity upside and are willing to grind for it
